  • "It may have been the flash" - That confused me when I heard it. I thought I'd missed the Scarlet Speedster somewhere in the episode.

The animation style is highly amusing. Krypto was REALLY overweight.

  • Good idea Superboy!

Throw the Krytonian weapons into the sea where one day Black Manta or The Human Torpedo can find them and use them against Aquaman!

  • @ArcXivix "The New Adventures of Superman", of which "Superboy" was a segment, was the first TV series from the Filmation studios. The animation style is indeed amusing because it is low-budget and limited and Krypto is pleasingly cartoonish, much like his own 2005 TV series. Later in the 1970's Filmation developed its infamous stock animation system or reusing scenes and close-up shots as a cost-saving measure.

  • is krypto a dogo or what !!???does any1 know???

  • One of the best part of Filmation's Superman/Superboy cartoons is the title scene - when Superman/Superboy & Krypto blast through a solid wall and the crest of the House Of El stops with the episode title, writer, and copyright year appear amid the title bumper mix of the closing theme. Awesome stuff.

  • @blagger56 actually the copyright reads 1966, but you were close

  • @blagger56 1966

  • @triforcelink1000 Nah, 1960s. Saw this and many others in the late sixties when I was a child, and also the style of animation points toward the sixties.

Another clue, as Scooby Doo and the gang would say, is the opening credits at the beginning of the cartoon, it reads 1963 - clearly.

  • open your eyes you can see then!

  • Late 80s that cartoon was

  • Krypto is such a fuckup.
