A comparison of the redesigned 360S console to the older model 360 Pro/Arcade/Elite models. Is it worth the hit to the wallet for previous owners? Or is it only for newcomers?

I wasn't planning on doing one of these, but after requests for such a thing I figured I may as well quickly put a video together. And here it is, I hope it answers your questions as to relative "worth" of the machine.

This does not replace the review this week, it's a supplement of sorts. Retro goodness comes this weekend.

  • Does the PS3 come with composite cables 'cuz I have a freaking RF only tv!!! RF ONLY!!!!!!!! I have a converter for composite to RF but still, RF sucks! ): \

  • @Daviljoe193 Yeah, it comes with composite cables, just like the 360.

  • What do u mean a "short" video

It goes for 10 and a half min!!!!

  • @clips895 I said "quick", as in "quickly-made" and not a scripted, heavily-edited review like I normally do.

  • I hear that the new xbox 360 S. has more problems of heating than the older version

  • @necrum777 Bigger fan, cooler chips, better ventilation... I don't see how heat issues could be worse on this one. Put it this way... I had two older 360's die on me. This one is still working like new with no hint of any issues.

  • Thank god! Still, imagin the clutter, HDMI to to S-Video to Componant to composit finally to RF!!!!! The money wasted just to display stuff, nothing with a video input and out put in my house is lcd or hd so again, thank god!

  • 4gb version is useless if you are going to play online...

  • I still use my original 2005 360. I have to run it without a cover or faceplate while a desk fan is blowing on it, or it will RROD instantly. and I lost the eject button... 3 red rings of death is easy to fix.

  • The new one this year with the Kinext is no longer glossy... but has a textured "brushed" black case.

  • I just got a wireless bridge from Cisco on clearance for like 15 bucks works perfectly on the xbox 360

  • I tend to play for extended periods of times, and I'm starting to get nervous that my original 360 is going to RROD or something. The disc tray opens about 20% of the time, and it's been freezing a lot lately. Hoping to upgrade to this before it goes to xbox heaven. At least he'll be happy there with my first RROD xbox.
