Africa south of the Sahara has nothing to do with the dessert and should not be discribed as such. It is derogatory to do so.

Then explain why the advanced black civilization were living in huts, with stone tools when discovered by spanish explorers during the 16th century. Or were the logs of explorers prefabricated to construct history.

What hallucinations? History is not handed down with a capital H from on high. Instead, it is produced through the narratives and sources historians, and debaters, utilize when discussing particular events. Some will ascribe to a vision of the US as benign benefactor, while others will highlight the way in which "gifts" of aid are precisely how imperialism gains its grasp over economically weaker nations.

I'll read the book. However, I'm not arguing that US assistance = good. Against your injunction of either improving domestic conditions or aiding abroad, I suggest that a genealogical interrogation of US action in Africa (including nefarious structural adjustment programs)provide an opportunity to understand the continuity between the erasure of urban bodies and foreign, enemy others.
