How strange to think that Stephen Fry could end up taking some stranger down the street and dropping them off, like a typical cab driver, without the person riding with him noticing who he is.
What a cool thought. Actually being in a vehicle with Stephen Fry, that is. Not the fact that he might go unrecognized by the average person off the street.

Craig Furguson is one of the best American TV show hosts. He just has a more relaxed, laid back attitude to help the conversation flow naturally as you would at a bar, or in a cab perhaps.. And Stephen couldn't be a better guest for a host as he is extremely intellligent and has such a way with words, that he can make a conversationalist out of anyone he converses with. He's 21st century Oscar Wilde.

From now on, I'll always take a look at the driver when taking a black cab (which I didn't ever do yet coz there are no black cabs in austria ;D But if I happen to be in England...)

Stephen Fry is actually a very self-deprecating and humble man. Just because he has a posh accent and a large vocabulary doesn't mean he's self serving. I find it hard to see how you came up with this idea. Perhaps you should listen to his podcasts, free on iTunes, or read his autobiography - 'Moab is my Washpot'.
