Sovtek KT88 just couldn't stand 650v :(

you probably already know but for those who dont, when they do that it can kill your power transformer. those aint cheap

We had a Traynor with a wierd blue glow like an arc between the Tubes and it turned out to be a faulty output transformer. I wish I had video of it so y' all could have seen it.

I love how dramatic he made the video.. as if that means something.. as if it's a tube from out of space or something... as if tubes around the world are planning something.. perhaps that is how they communicate!

@riba2233 actually you can still buy Sovtek tubes and some of their old stock tubes sound REALLY good so i dont know what your talking about.......maybe you just got a bad batch?

@autoteck1 Nope, tube had an internal short causing it to draw too much current.
Everything is fine now with new JJ tubes.

It seems to be blue, because the infared rays that are emitted by the tube are interpreted as white to blue light by your cam. But i think this tube is dead now :( . So thumps down for you.

@Borduino:Well off course it is dead, but it's not my fault, so I don't see why thumbs down? You should give thumbs down for Sovtek and their cheap ass quality :)
