I thought of a problem that my users might encounter. Once you beat level 1, it changes unlock attribute to "unlock+1." Level 2 is unlocked and clickable. What happens if you play level 1 more than once and mess up the unlock attribute? Let's say you beat level 1 and change the unlocked attribute to "2". Instead of playing level 2, you decide to beat level 1 again. Beating level 1 again will change unlocked attribute from 2 to "3." This will unlock level 3 when level 2 wasn't played. Solutions?
@alialashwak You will need to create a new actor, you can name it Unlock +1.
Then, lets say if your main actor needs to go somewhere in order to unlock the next level (for example a ball, that will need to go into a hole), you will need to place your new Unlock +1 actor, onto the hole, and then create a new rule:
When Main actor collides/overlaps with Unlock +1 actor.
Then into the rule you will put. Change attribute - the "Unlock" attribute you have already created to "2". And so on….
How can I save this change? So when I quit the app/game on my device and relaunch it, the changes of the levels unlocked will be saved. Would i use a "save attribute" function? PLEASE HELP!
i was wondering if you knew how to make all the unlocked levels saved after you exit a game and open it again,... thank you for the videos, they kick butt!
If you're having trouble getting some of this stuff to work for you, I suggest you start playing around with some of the basic templates from GameSalad and get really used to some of the things being covered here. Speaking from experience, it took me a while before I could make sense of some of this stuff.
everything that you have said in all these videos doesn't work for me, i have tried so many times and i did exactly what you have done and it doesn't work. please help me.
