PUNKCAST#540-02-04 Suicide performing live at Rothko NYC on Sep 3 2004. This was the evening of the last day of the Republican Convention and the 'devil' he refers to is, of course, George W. Bush.

  • Something tells me he doesn't think much of Bush, lol..

  • I like this cover. You can hear the clear influence of Roy Orbison on them when the song's played like that.

  • @nonsenseamigo This is not a cover that I know of. You can hear Orbison influence on this night for sure. Now Springsteen did a version of this on an unplugged show and also noted Suicide as being an influence to him while recording IMO his best record, only one I really like, Nebraska....

  • Skip ahead to 1:40 if you're not a fan of talented artists getting pissy and generally making a fool of themselves talking about politics. How disappointing.

  • his cliche political views are a letdown. i expected a more, uh, original perspective. but the songs still good.

  • Dreams are forever and a day.
