Sorry, I can not speak English well.
I used an adapter ring(58mm->52mm down ring) as below.
"DCR730(52mm)" + "adapter ring(58->52)" + "Lens of HF-S10(58mm)"

Didn't you use an adapter ring to attach the lens?
As far as I know the lens has 52mm thread and the camera has a 58mm thread...
How did you attach the DCR 730 lens?

No, I did not have any issues with vignetting.
I think you can attach a 58-52 adapter ring with HF-S10.
