Being the amount of gravity needed to create a wormhole, I would presume that time would cease to exist inside there
-
@chicagotransam i guess you are right about that.
but i do have another question,
would a vortex in space time have properties that can change relative time in any object within sed vortex?

Enjoy your "will that be for here or to go" salespitch

We don't currently understand wormholes; they are only theoretically possible if we follow Einstein's theory. If his theory is correct, however, it would take near infinite energy to prop one open, much less move it.

I think that it's not so much a case of "when the time machine was built", rather when the time traveler left. He could leave Earth today.. spend a few hours near a black-hole tomorrow, and look back at what has happened since. This means, in essence, that only forward travel would be possible but no laws of physics would be broken.
This would eradicate the "Grandfather Paradox".

So, people in 2148 still can't understand basic grammatical skills? Go back to watching your Euro-trash videos

We need moar vids like this plz! Not just abstract crazy vids with no explanation!
-
@Heithlar not only that, but wouldnt it create an alternate universe?
Newscientistvideo should really do more videos like this one. It takes a pretty complex topic and breaks it down into plain English - something that we can all understand. It also incorporates helpful animations and even a few jokes, too. I swear, if schools had shown videos like these when I was in school, I would have learned so much more! Kudos to you, Newscientistvideo!
