The first prototype of my Saturn to Xbox 360 controller converter circuit is finally complete, here's a video showing it in action.

You can find out the details of how it was built and how to build your own here: Everything you need to know to do it yourself: ttp://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=509748&st=165&p=3546461&#entry3546461

  • Know what the funny thing is? There are Saturn controllers that work on the PS3 directly with no mod or PCB xD

  • @strykah92 you do realize this video is 4 and a half years old now, that Saturn PS3 controller didn't exist.

  • Any clue if a adapter like this would allow a Sega Saturn Twin Stick Controller to work with Virtual On Oratorio Tangram on XBLA?

  • the chip is only programmed to decode the inputs from saturn "gamepads" it doesn't work with the 3D controller... if the Twin Sticks use the same protocol as the gamepads than they'll work, otherwise they wont and I'd need to know the twinsticks protocol to make them work.

  • a snes controller for xbox 360 would be cool

  • Could I do the same thing with a Sega Genesis controller? I want to get the Sega Collection on 360 and play Columns with the regular controller like I did back in the day

  • @strykah92 that was a weak ass come back and u made urself seem like an ass with that comment about twistedsymphony he did somthing obviously you cant so ill stop messing with you cuz your not worth it

  • @dvdnunley

    No u.

  • @strykah92 ya so suck it

  • @twistedsymphony

Oh of course, but to this day getting non-360 controllers and fightsticks to work on the thing is a chore because of Microsoft's stupid lockout chip.

  • awesome,

i would like to do the same on a dreamcast controller, i've modded it so the wire comes out from the top of the controller, not the bottom, so now i have an unused hole there, and i was planning to put a mini9-din port in it (the same used in genesisII/32x video in/out), so i can plug the 9-din>saturn female adapter in it and then plug a saturn controller to it!

then, maybe add even the motion sensor mod made for x360 controllers ;)

  • @pornokatze00000 just curious man I have a SF4 fightpad. In your opinion is the D-pad on the sega saturn controller feel better than the SF4 fightpad? I want to know because I will buy one.
