Very well done, inspires me. Saint Saens stayed in Gran Canaria ( that´s where I´m from ) and made quite a lot of friends here. In his biography I read he composed a waltz after listening to a canarian girl playing one of his works. It´s called "Vals Canariote" , anyone know anything about this or where to search in order to listen to it ?
Thanks !

Thanks for that ! Maybe if one day I have a video camera I will post more videos.

I had never heard this piece and enjoyed your performance. Please to post more.

I enjoyed your performance, I'm learning some of other waltzes too. The piano sounds good and the picture too. Vive Saint-Saens.

It is good to see people branching out from all the popular, well-known, and most played classical piano pieces. Wonderful choice in Saint-Saens. I love his style with the piano. I applaud you; I enjoyed. すごい!(or good)

Thank you. The Valse Canariote is one of the other waltzes I'd like to record if I had more time. It's a nice and cheerful thing but would be a lot of work for me. I'm not aware of any recordings anywhere but I think there maybe some (french) pianists who have recorded all or most of S-S's work.

Thanks for that Grubenpony ! It was a bit of a spontaneous chance recording, but it
came out rather well all the same.

Thank you ! And good luck with the other waltzes, some of which are far harder than this one.

Thanks PBAhero ! Indeed Saint-Saens deserves more recognition. Some of his piano works are uninspired but many are exquisite and irresistable.

Thanks guys ! I am not sure if I will submit more here until such time as I own a proper camcorder. It is no fun with a tiny photo camera without a tripod.
