Back then, "Multiplayer" meant whoever was playing next to you, not some anonymous, foul-mouthed, smart-assed kid over a mic headset. Today's games SUCK, that's why I MAMED an arcade cabinet.

@djpipotheoriginal I totally agree. Game play will always beat graphics. You could have the greatest Graphics in a game, but Horrible game play. And put it against Galaga. Bet the Galaga machine will get more quarters before the day is over.

Millipede owned that kid.

I search for a donkey kong arcade all the time on craigslist, I would like to find that number 1 then work my way down the list.

All the new stuff bores me I prefer playing Double Dragon, Twin Cobra and NARC and other late 80s games least you clock them with in a hour or two.

For those of you who wonder why people keep showing Namco's (not Midway's) Pac-Man, here's why: it was an early example of innovation. Back when it was released, most other games were video sports (e.g. Atari's Breakout) and space-themed shooters (e.g. Atari's Space Invaders). Pac-Man was more child-friendly and attracts female players more than others.
If you think Data East's Lock 'n' Chase is a direct copy, then that's not exactly true. It did better in the home market than Pac-Man.
