Get real. Bird Clone or not Bird Clone, she is the real talent at the age of .......whatever teen. So, stop whining and go back to the wood shed and keep practicing.
If you lucky, you might get close to her level.
Check out Erena Terakubo or Gene Kelly and you might get really depressed of how much you need to work to call yourself a pro-sax player.

@rhumbaphone She's clearly not another "bird clone," her style of playing AND writing is clearly different. While she does have a lot of his influence, an unbelievable amount of great saxophone players do as well! Before you're so quick to claim that she's nothing great, you clearly aren't listening closely enough. It's unfair to say that she's nothing in comparison to Turner and Potter. She may be young but she clearly is going places, after all, she has played with people like Jimmy Cobb.

@rhumbaphone - You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to the facts. Jazz is not just about improvised dialog. Your opinion is myopic to say the least. Jazz is a genre that extends beyond just improvisation. You mean to tell me that you don't ever play from a chart? Don't answer, because you know you have.

@JustAnAcre if it's all planned out, it's not jazz. jazz is improvised dialog. not the Gettysburg Address. Also, check out David Binney, Mark Turner, Chris Potter, Kurt Rosenwinkle before you state that another bird clone is the "freshest thing" to jazz.
