After Demi goes upstairs to freshen up a bit and Adam gets home from school, Kevin and Demi go to the police station. Danielle would stay at Demi's house with Ellie and Adam.

Demi and Kevin go through security before they see Joe in one of the cells. Joe gets up and smiles through the bars between them.

Demi: Uh, Kev, can I talk with Joe alone for a bit?

Kev: Sure. I'll be right over there. -walks away-

Demi: -turns to Joe- Hi, baby.

Joe: You came.

Demi: Of course I did. I'm not gonna let them throw you in jail. They dont have the right too. Its ridiculous. What did they tell you?

Joe: They're keeping me here till they have more evidence.

Demi: Do you know where Zac is? I want to kill him.

Joe: Dont worry about him. He's guaranteed years in jail.

Demi: Good for him. I don't get how he got the police to take you, I mean--

???: Demi? Is that you?

Demi: -turns around- Alex?

Alex was another high school friend of theirs. He and Zac are good friends. Now he was working here as an officer. Now Demi understood a bit more on how Zac was able to get Joe arrested.

Alex: What are you doing here?

Demi: -shocked- What are YOU doing here?

Alex: -motions to his uniform- I work here.

Demi: I know that. Wow, I havent seen you in forever!

Alex: Tell me about it. -nods at Joe- You know this guy? He's the jerk that hit Cody and all.

Demi: Alex, he's my boyfriend. You dont have any proof that he's the guy that did it.

Alex: Why are you dating the guy that killed your husband, Demi? Whats wrong with you? I thought you loved Cody.

Demi: I did, Alex. -sighs- Joe didnt mean it. Its a long story. Is there any way I can get him out of here?

Alex: -narrows his eyes at her- Wait.. so you admit it? He's the guy that did it?

Demi: What?! No! I meant.. no. He didnt. Believe me.

Alex: I heard what you said.

Demi: What I said was wrong. Look, I know Zac talked you into doing this. It isnt fair just because you guys are friends. Arent we friends, too?

Alex: Sure. Coming from the girl that cheated on me back in high school.

Demi: You still remember that?

Alex: How can I forget? I loved you, Dem.

Demi: -her eyes widen- I'd rather not talk about that right now.

Alex: You cheated on me at a party, dumped my ass, and then went out with one of my closest friends, not to mention marrying him as well. Zac told me everything. I believe him when he says that this guy did it. Call it revenge or whatever you want. I'm not helping you get out of this. The chief police here is tough, just letting you know. -walks away-

Demi: -just stands there, shocked- Wow.

Joe: -calls from behind- Demi. You okay?

Demi: -turns to him and sighs- Yeah, I'm fine. He was always a jerk.

Officer: -walks towards them- Are you Demi?

Demi: Thats me.

Officer: I'd like to have a word with you in my office.

Demi: Of course.

The officer starts to walk away and Demi looks at Joe, blowing him a kiss, before following after.
