Sogyal Rinpoche, author of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, discusses the Tibetan view of mind as a clear space encompassing the entire universe. He describes how the experience of deep compassion is cultivated in Tibetan Buddhism. Then he presents the Tibetan view of rebirth and the afterlife, maintaining that this understanding stems from the experience of meditation masters.

  • His book about life and death helped me so much facing death when my grandmother died. It was surely the most important event in my life which never would have been such a present to me without having read this book. His words are so precious.

  • Sogyal Rinpoche is THE most inspiring teacher. His whole demeanor, approach and sense of humor are extremely motivating.

  • He IS!

But beware... although He looks like a cat, He is a Lion!

  • He seems like such a sweetheart

  • Wow- Rinpoche describes meditation in the most beautiful way I've ever heard, as "The union of wisdom and compassion." How eloquent and how true!
