Toronto Storm Video August 20th 2009 - Over DT Toronto Canada - Green sky

This storm blew in and was so wild. The clouds were blowing over the down town so fast and the lightening and thunder were crazy. Then the sky started to go green!
Wild weather for dt Toronto.
Tornados reported around the GTA and west of the city.

They have not confirmed it but a total of 4 tornados may have touched down throughout Southern Ontario.

In Durham, a small town north west of Toronto, a person was killed by a tornado.

it certainly was a volitile weather system.

It was. Freakiest weather I have ever seen in DT Toronto.

Have heard there was damage north and west of the city.

Possible tornados.

Great Footage! Crazy weather for August! Green clouds usually indicate large hail. The light reflecting off of hail causes the greenish color, and hail can be a precurser to tornadoes. The strong updrafts needed for hail can sometimes be strong enough to cause rotation which can lead to tornadoes. My understanding is that a tornado touched down very close to Toronto.
