Iran Report: Ahmadinejad fights fallout from IAEA bombshell

In a major public speech, Iran's president insisted his country won't retreat one iota from its nuclear programme. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad slammed the international nuclear watchdog's newly-released report suggesting Tehran might be close to developing atomic weapons. Its findings came days after Israel bluntly considered military action against Iran - raising fears the report could be a pretext to an attack.

Iran has every right to hate America. We overthrew their president in 1953 and installed the Shah and his brutal secret police, we impose sanctions on them, we constantly threaten to bomb them, and now we’re sponsoring terrorist attacks in their country. They’ve done nothing to deserve this. Since becoming an Islamic Republic in 1979, they haven’t bombed or invaded anyone. Their only sin is not having a Rothschild central bank.
