Let's put this in perspective: It likely took INXS 6 months to a year to put "Kick" together. Beck and his cohorts lined up their take on it in 6 to 12 hours. The attempt is not a recreation, but a reinterpretation.

Beck, as an artist, has always viewed music as the discovery of one piece of the infinite. It's why he allows his work to be remixed so frequently A song could break out into this world in any number of versions, and I find this one to be beautiful.
