Airbus A340 V Boeing 777

The information is based only on the 777-300ER and A340-600. Information has been collected via either Boeing/Airbus or Wikipedia (But mostly Boeing/Airbus)
The A340 puts up a great fight... it has a higher MTOW, shorter wingspan, longer fuselage and can travel just 30 miles less than the 777-300ER! But remember the 777-200LR can travel a lot further than either of these two magnificent jets.

great video so really you were just comparing the 777-300ER to the A340-600

anyway i have to say I prefer the 777-200ER and the A340-500

Oh, boy! You pitted my favorite A/C together! Uh.

I would go with the Boeing 777! Especially the LR version! Its like the A340 500 series, except the difference the two A/C is that the A340 has 4 engines and the 777 has two engines and yet can go same range like the A340 500 series!

@DeltaEagle7700 naa they are both great airplanes! personally i love the -300ER but i think boeing should rake the wings of the -200LR to make its range ever bigger! thanks for the comment

The Airbus a340-300 Turkish Airlines was the very first airplane I have been in

Both are good airplanes but the obvious winner is the Triple 7. Don't get me wrong, the A340 is my favorite Airbus (and perhaps the only one I REALLY like). But the 777 is more efficient longer range, and a better option. Boeing did a great job on this plane, and I think it really is a milestone. Airbus thought that the ETOPs restrictions would assure that the A340 would win...but no. Much as I like the A340, the 777 is the winner - it even pushed the 340 out of production...

But I do like both!
