What about 20 year old son living at home going to college. He comes in at all hours of the night and I am a light sleeper. The earlies he comes in is midnight, usuall yafter 2am. I go to bed before 10. This disrupts my sleep and I cannot easily return to sleep. My husband is very clear that he (son) is an adult now and we cannot implement a cerfew, but what about respecting that I have to be up at 6 am and have chronic sleep loss? What is the compromise here?
Your tips can be helpful but on the street people that move in with mom and dad will make their own rules for the most part. I think its smart to pay off debt and save money while living at home. I also think people are accepting it more and more as a "semi-normal" thing to do.
@lexluther77 Did you try telling him not to wake you up?
