A Journey to the World Premier of The Return of the King of the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy in Wellington (New Zealand), home of Middle-earth. A once in a lifetime experience. New Zealand at its best.
The top highlight of all the travel-highlights was the World Premiere of The Return of the King movie. All the stars of Lord of the Rings at the red carpet, the Premiere Symphonie from Howard Shore, the Fan Party with Middle-earth-Fans from all over the World - and also some actors among us - in the Skyline Restaurant, top of Wellington. We had a lot of fun. We also visited other LotR-related places like Weta studios in the Wellington suburb of Miramar, the exposition in the airport, or the autograph session of Howard Shore in the Dymocks bookshop which had a great LotR-collection with LotR-stamps, LotR-coins, DVD's, Weta-Sideshow collectibles and of course books of J.R.R. Tolkien and books about the Films from Peter Jackson.
And last but not least we vistited a lot of Set-Locations of the films like Emyn Muil, Rivendell, Hobbiton, Rohan, Misty Mountains or Edoras and other wonderful places and NZ like Milford Sound or Rotorua, who are so beautiful in nature, scenery and culture and a must do for Kiwi travellers. There are so many LotR-related places to discover in NZ. Some locations are far away from the main tourist.attractions. LotR-Fans could see a little bit of the unknown New Zealand. The Set-locations are on both Islands, North Island and South Island. Like for director Peter Jackson the helicopter-only locations has been the favorite locations for a lot of us. 100% Middle-earth and Tolkien-Fandom in 100% Pure New Zealand.
In this video you can see pictures from Liv Tyler, Viggo Mortensen, Elijah Wood, Barrie Osborne, Andy Serkis, Sean Astin, Sir Ian McKellen, John Noble, Lawrence Makoare, Bruce Hopkins and Richard Taylor. Also Hobbits and Haradrim from the films in original Middle-earth-wardrobe and a lot of Fans in costumes are seen.
The following places and sites are seen in this Video or are nearby: Autobahn Cafe Auckland-Hamilton-Motorway N1, Hobbiton Movie Set on Alexander Farm in Matamata, Whakapapa Ski Field on Mount Ruapehu in Tongariro National Park, Mairenui Rural Retreat in Rangitikei District, Mount Victoria in Wellington, Premiere Cinema Embassy Theatre in Wellington, Dymocks Bookshop in Wellington, Weta-Workshop in Wellington, Weta-Digital in Wellington, Kaitoke Regional Park in Upper Hutt, Harcourt Park in Upper Hutt, Hotel Intercontinental in Wellington, Skyline Cafe in Wellington, Courtenay Place in Wellington, Cafe in Glenorchy, Deer Park Heights in Queenstown, Takaro Forest in Te Anau, Redcliff Bar & Cafe in Te Anau, Poolburn Lake in Central Otago, Los Angeles Airport LAX

I dont know really, but I think there is no special museum. There has been an LotR-Exposition in Wellingtons Te Papa Museum and then touring around the world. I dont know whats about this Exposition now.
