Nurses Say, "Stand Up, President Obama!"

National Nurses United brings nurses and citizens across the country together to say, "Stand Up, President Obama!" We're looking for the president we voted for. And if you can't stand up, Mr. President, then the people who elected you will stand up to corporate power and monied interests. So will you stand up with us President Obama, to protect our country? As nurses, caring for the most vulnerable among us is our job. That's what we do. That's what we expect you to do.

Social Security, healthcare, and basic human rights and protections are being undermined every day. Nurses are standing together to say enough is enough. Please join us in saying, Stand Up! President Obama! Stand up for the uninsured, the underinsured, the elderly, the sick, the most vulnerable in society.

@kingfish99 healthcare reform was not passed, a travesty called the healthcare reform bill was passed and is in the process of being repealed by people who want to make it even worse. You are correct, the president can't just do whatever he wants, but he seems to want to pander to corporate interests more than to his constituency.

The real shame would be if the most historically notable thing about Obama ends up being that he was half African American.
