Food agression cured??? Extreme dog behavior rehab

http://www.dogtrouble.net Meet Jada... This big girl came to stay with me in South Carolina for long term rehab. When Jada came to stay with me she had no respect for rules and boundaries. The main reason I took her in was because of her extreme food aggression. No shelter in Greenville took pit bulls and the owners absolutely could not keep her. She was a loose cannon.

She had been on a chain, alone her whole life and never been socialized with anything but her mate and her puppies. No dog could be anywhere near her when it was feeding time. Not only that, she is the off spring of illegal dog fighting dogs who were "bred to be killers".

When she came to me, she even had moderate human aggression during feeding. She didn't want anyone near her food.

Now take a look at successful case of food aggression rehabilitation. Not only has she been socialized, she is now the calmest most dependable member of my pack. In fact, she helps rehabilitate OTHER dogs now... and even HUMANS too! She is an ambassador for her breed.

This is an example of how calm, consistent leadership can make a real difference. Dogs need a balanced blend of exercise, rules & boundaries followed by an appropriate dose of affection.

I hope you don't normally place their food bowls that close together, and are just doing it as an example of how you got the pitbull trained to not be food aggressive. I own a game bred pitbull, neo mastiff and bandog, I feed the neo and bandog in the same room, but no where as close as you feed your dogs, the pitbull , he eats in his crate, common sense will take you long way.

Watching a video of two dogs eating doesn't really tell me much about dog training? Do I know that the pit was food aggressive, no. What methods were used to train the food aggression out of the dog?
