I'd like to ride BNSF from Fort Worth, Texas (where their headquarters is located) all the way up to Whitefish, MT. I'm not familiar with the Fort Worth yards at all though, might have to go and do some homework.

@hoggerdave a train can derail anywhere. near the front near the back in the middle. 1 car 100 cars. how is riding the last car safer? what if the last car is the only car to derail?
what if the coupler breaks and the car seperates from the train and rolls off a mountain?
haha.
there is no safe spot to ride a train. anything can happen at any time.

plz don't answer my question in a nast way but is freight train hopping illegal? btw that looks SO much fun.

It's safer to ride the last car incase there's a derailment. If you're determined to hop freights, do it safely.

Nah, BNSF. I haven't rode CN yet actually. This is the highline, Chicago-->Seattle. I got on this train in Havre, MT. This is going through the western part of Montana, close to Whitefish I'm pretty sure.
