Every year up to 30 thousand Americans are diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It's an inflammatory condition of the intestines that causes pain, cramping and constant diarrhea. There is no cure for Crohn's disease, but treatment keeps getting better. More on a new generation of medications from Mayo Clinic.

  • @lilfreeway21 With your current symptoms, you should definitely seek consultation with your family physician and/or a gastroenterologist. If you would like a medical evaluation at Mayo Clinic, then please contact Arizona: 480-301-1735 Florida: 904-953-0853 Minnesota: 507-284-2511. • If you have gastritis with crohns think twice before taking humeria.

Gastritis is most of the time caused by a bacteria/fungus/virus that grows fast.

If you take humeria with gastritis you might be praying to god in about 1 week.

I went through the worst hell wishing I never took it. It just lets the bacteria grow like weeds.

For just crohns which people think is a very slow growing bacteria "map" I think its good, it heals up you gut fast before the bacteria can overgrow.

  • @dcrypton The 2 patients you refer to were MS patients who were also taking an MS drug - Avonex. Avonex (also by Biogen Idec) is also a immunosupressant. My wife has MS and was on Avonex for a few years. The Crohn's patient who died in the trials was also taking an additional immunosupressant drug. There is nothing showing Tysabri by itself will cause PML.

  • I hate having Crohn's disease. It's the worst pain you could ever imagine.

    But,

I'm on the same research trial as her. That drug works so well XD

  • Constant diarrhea!? i feel sorry for anyone with chrons disease

  • i have crohns.

  • i don't care when. the whole biologics and immuno-suppressants are retarded treatments. the biologics are more than immuno-suppressants; they are immune system shut downs, albeit they only target specific molecules, but they happen to be pretty important molecules
