These Congressmen make me sick! Mr. Liddy is doing this country a damn favor! He came out of retirement, is working for free and they grill him on shit that went down before he was even there!

Wall Street believes that it should keep all profits and the taxpayer should pay for any losses.
These "Masters of the Universe" have nothing but contempt for ordinary people, it is time we returned the favour.
Slapping these men on the wrists will not change their behaviour...scaring them will.

damn, the congress is making it so difficult for welfare recipients to just get handouts from the government!

Yes or No asshole.....

It is a bitter irony that congress is concerned about modifying employee contracts that stipulated bonuses paid for by my tax dollars .. especially when Our Troops have had their contracts modified (i.e. stop-loss provisions among others) and no one gave that a second thought. Congress must think that AIG employees are more important than our Troops.

4951Weddel: No one is fishing for anything .. it was CEO *Liddy* who brought up the issue of disclosure of information .. Congressman Ackerman was clear when he stated that such disclosures will be made to the Attorney General of New York.

Unless an employee had committed a crime, his or her name and information is not relevant information for the AG of New York unless he is fishing for votes.

actually he met the burden of proof of his citizenship. what actual proof has anyone presented (more than internet innuendo of the Obamas paternal cousins thrice removed hairdressers psychic poodle has fuzzy photoshopped copies of a mimes interpretation of Obamas birth certificate from Tijuana) that would call into question the background checks done by the various agencies prior to the election.

while I agree that he should consult with counsel I do think that in this case the subpoena is legal. AIG received federal monies which in effect places them under the oversight of congress for good or ill. As for the Senator grandstanding... honestly I think it drives home the point that the executives are under serious scrutiny and should carefully consider their actions.
You work for the taxpayers now, give up the names.

if he really does not want to give out the names then he should demand for the people to return the bonuses then he might not have to give out the names anymore
