Whilst I can appreciate the sentiment of this video, the issue is so deep, so intrenched in cultural behaviour, a 'simple' branding exercise is just the tip of the iceberg. I too work in marketing and branding and know from personal experience, unless you can back-up the promise of the brand, you are delusional.

Greece needs a cultural enema. Talk of branding is fine, but start working on what you're going to back it up with.

I love Greece, but I'm frustrated at the Greek's lack of vision.

guys for sure it is a nice video. But branding is just the surface. Real education and positive work is what matters, and not some advertisement trying to convince you to do something. Lets try to make a better Greece with our actions not just with advertisement.

Btw we are not the rullers of Mediteranean. We are not a special DNA nation. We are JUST LIKE everybody else.

Unbelievable for some of the negative comments. I fail to see what this man is saying so wrong? This is exactly what is needed for Greece and all Greeks. You are so right Mr Economides. Please continue your efforts.

Lets be realistic here, It took a leader like Alexander the Great to Unite Greece and make it one nations. Well basically it will take a similar leader to Unite Europe other wise it is doomed and the reality is nor Mrs. Merckle or Mr. Holland or Sarcozy have the skills or charisma to do this let alone the vision required to build a United Europe

The reason Greece has been incapable to brand it self is because as Greeks as people as incapable to develope or maybe do not like creating brands. We are excellent merchants and this is proof because on every continent of the world you will always find a greek or cypriot selling something. Textiles in Argentina, Shrips and Chicken in Panama, Coffee in Uganda we are leaders of trading. The only brand i can think of that actually was succeful was Bulgary and we sold it.

I dont agree. Greece and the Greeks are special. And I mean that in a positive way. Be proud and special. Think positive. Change the negative attitude. Greece is worth it! And thank you for the immense hospitality, and warmth. I am grateful to live in Greece. The best place to be, also in hard times. Beautiful people, beautiful country! I fight with you to change the stupid negative public opinion.
