  • I have never heard a bad thing about Rakim - ever! His peers hail him as "God MC", brothers like Nas, Eric Sermon, GZA name him as the most high-reaching, influencial and lyrically limber MC to bless a mic! And I don't blame them! Joints like Waiting for the World To end, The 18th Letter, evn his collaboration with cats in Germany, etc, is impeccably on-point! Rakim doesn't need hooks in his material, and when he kicks it with a live band it's fire! Imagine: Rakim and The Roots! That'd be dope!

  • Nas and Rakim's daughter have the same name!!! thats awesome.

  • @cjewelz yeah same his being hypnotised by these satans, nd its funny that he calls himself rakim allah? while in another song he condridict himself just dont make no sens

  • I don't agree with Rakim's beliefs, but every time I hear rhymes, man, I just don't want it to end. I wish he put out more material more often. And I got so much respect for br 'cause he rarely curses on a song.

  • @beezilla87 Same wit Nas.

  • @tqsmoke: I hear you. But a minor correction: Rakim never "was", Rakim always IS - he IS THE GREATEST! But I feel what you're saying. This brother is just from another planet!

  • Really enjoyed that, grew up listening to that whole era as a kid and Rakim was by far the greatest!

  • funny thing is Rakim look like he never aged....like he look just like he did on the Paid in Full album
