@zubair80ahmad Afghans were mostly Zoroasterian and Brehman with tollerance to other religions. At the time Persians were in a deep identity crisis themselves and they never ever had the power to make Afghans Muslim. Arabs tried but failed--up until Mahmood of Ghazni converted to Islam and he invited all other Afghan chiefs and tribal leaders to join him. So that is how we converted to Islam. And yes Tipu Sultan was not Punjabi, he was an Orakzai Pashtun aka Afghan.

@zubair80ahmad Ironically both Kushans and Huns (yeptalites=abdalite=abdali) were saka pashtuns. Mongols were ripped off in Afghanistan & directed their effort/rule towards Persia. Hazaras are partially mongols who ruled over Persia but got kicked out in 15th century from there by rising Safavid turks & took refuge in the mountains of Afghanistan. We didn't have hazaras before. The Lodhi Pashtuns saved your mom's butt from mongols too by butchering them in 1000s & let them invade north India
