Ive heard its about an hour for ever 1000 planes, but my highscore is only 411.

Yes, that calculation is right, landing 1k planes takes something over 1 hour. I didn't play this in straight, I played to approximately 3100 one day, then I went on the other day. Takes long and I can't really spend 7 hours a day playing.
And be sure, you will practice some more days and you will score thousands. Good luck!
