What a piece of work is a man - words from SHAKESPEARE "Hamlet" - brilliant adaptation
-
I memorized the songs on this amazing album and read the book (play) when I was nine (with my parents' approval). The first part of this song is from Shakespeare, and the lyrics are beautiful set to the music. Unfortunately, most of the second part (Walking in Space) is missing ..... (oh my god, your skin is soft, I love your face.........how dare they try to end this beauty.......walking in space, we find the purpose of peace......OUR EYES OPEN, our eyes are open, our EYES ARE OPEN. 4 Glenn

@funfan10011 I just teared up...that is so sweet! I am so sorry for your loss!

After all these years this shit still sends shivers up my spine.

It's Shakespeare.

The epitome of irony - at last year's Drum Corps International Championships, the official Comandant's own Marine Drum and Bugle Corps played a medley of songs from "Hair"!
-
ronny dyson great voice(Aquarius), from hamlet's soliloquy
-
This is my favorite song on the Hair sountrack even tough all of the song are unique in their own way this stands out in it's own way.

I wonder if Galt got his idea for the melody from the second movement of Brahms's Third Symphony (Shakespeare + Brahms: not a bad team, that).

@RennieBee it shouldn't have to sound pretty but don't dis the revival.

This is my favorite song from "Hair". Me and my best friend Derrick used to sing this song together while sitting around the house and dreaming about our futures. He's gone now. I miss you baby brother. Thank you for posting this.

i was really surprised that this was not revived & on the road for the past several years, given the parallels of the destruction & futility of both wars. it really is a masterpiece.
