Although my chef pals gave me tons o' crap when I did these ("Hey man, did you have to study to make that grilled cheese sandwich?!?"), the $ was good, I wrote & produced the music underneath it, plus having it on the resume doesn't hurt. We filmed 5 spots in 2 nights, very intense (it was NOT video - I hate it when people call their video footage "film") .
More, everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I begged them to get some kind of AC units in that small space; sure enough, the lights cooked everyone nearly as hot as that melted cheese, adding more stress to an already stressful experience. And I never got the one thing I really wanted from this whole thing: A Velveeta satin tour jacket with "The Rock & Roll Chef" embroidered on the front. More at: www.rocknrollkitchen.com
