2 Norfolk Southern and 2 NS helpers hauling freight and grain on Track 1 from the New Portage Tunnel (below Tunnelhill PA). Moving at good speed for Track 1 at the summit.
Nice Video. A little history about this bridge. I have photos of this 1892 bridge, and it was a duck under for the New Portage railroad. Back in 1972 the railroad tracks where removed from the Portage railroad, and the bridge was filled in with dirt. Back in 1995 with the Allegheny tunnel project, the railroad removed the earth fill, and re installed the bridge back into service. This is the same old bridge. The area was used as a dump.

Thanks for the info. The old detour railbed to Muleshoe (Duncansville) is a state game land trail with some great views.
