Changing Nut on Jackson DK2 w/ Floyd Rose part 2

I had to change the nut because all 6 strings would go flat after tuning. The nut was really the only clear answer. But the new nut was a lot taller than the origanal nut so I had to do some sanding with a Dremel ( man those things are handy ). Next time I change strings i will show a little trick with the fretboard.
I just use lemon oil this time.

Dio u know how High the strings should be coming from the Nut??? say at the 1st fret?  dime ? pic? nickle? My R2 nut is a bit ttoo low giving me Buzz , any advice???

Well, It depends on wherrre you are getting buz. Wheere is the buz comming from?

I had to shave under the nut becuse my guitar came with a low profile tremolo. So when I put the Original Floyd Rose it raised the strings. It depends on how low or high you like you "action" Action is a name for the string hight on your guitar. On Jacksons the action is very low. Some people dont like it low but it is very good for Metal and Rock. What guitar you got?

I have a 90s bc rich Warlock Neckthru ...Wish ther ewere some "guideline" or rule of thumb to follow as to where to set the nut actyion at, like a Home Remedy kind of wayIm gonna just go with trying to have a DIME space between 1st fret & bottom of the Fat E string. Right now the Dime touches the string a bit too firm.
