Why We Have the 2nd Amendment

The Constitution identifies many Rights, e.g., speech, press, religion, etc., all of which fit into one of three categories - Life, Liberty, or Property. The possession of these basic Rights are all necessary for the Pursuit of Happiness. Violation of any one of the three by government is tyranny. Several of the Founders suggested the following slogan for our Great Seal, "Resistance to Tyranny is Obedience to GOD".

Attached to and an essential part of God-given Rights is the sacred duty to protect and defend those Rights with whatever means necessary. It is the Right To Bear Arms that protects all other rights. Therefore, if it is lost, all other rights will surely be lost as well.

The right to keep and bear arms not only predates the writing of the Second Amendment, it also predates the discovery of firearms, because the right to defend one's right to Life, Liberty, and Property came with the Creation of Man.

@jboritzki Where i live the most people will be packing is a .22 Rifle bolt action ( and out of my 250 thousand people in my city only 3,500 have firearms around 1 % of them own pistols

Yes i understand Homeless people aren't entitled to everything but some people need to show a heart like i did :)

@MrWoot101 So she would kill them in cold blood as you put it? I'm sure your mum is tough but trust me, she is not a match for men, especially 3 of them. A .38 revolver makes an 80 year old woman just as dangerous to a 25 year old attacker as the attackers is to the 80 year old lady.

That hobo is not entitled to the contents of other people's private property. I would guess that the hobo was not trying to help himself get off the streets, but just expected everyone else to give him things?

Homeless People Intend to survive not commit criminal activities ( to an extent )

@MrWoot101 drive by shootings are criminal activities and the people doing them have no right to own guns just as they do not have the right to murder people.

Hobos do not break into people's homes to take showers and if someone does force his way into your home and presents a threat to you, you can defend yourself.

Maybe change your question to "What if 3 hobos break into your home to rape & kill your 12 year old daughter and wife and kill you? Do you let them kill you in cold blood?"
