A montage of videos and photos of Glasgow and my university project proposing a headquarters building for Scottish Ballet in 2004. Inspired by the music of Jocelyn Pook I took a piece which featured in the film "Eyes Wide Shut" as well as a phrase by Albert Einstein "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed."

The project explored the possibility that this building could 'perform' to the city of Glasgow, revealing and hiding itself in certain ways and at certain times of day, a perforated skin of steel and glass allowing this transient nature. I also tried to convey the way the city reveals itself subtly, a rising garage door, the view out of a passing car for example.
