  • Up to 2:33, this was the original Marketts Batman Theme as I remember it. From 2:34, this was the flip side, entitled "Richies Theme", a great song in it's own right. Thanks Sids, for posting this one.

  • Thanks for pointing out my omission!. All's sorted

  • @Sids60sSounds I remember having the Marketts' Batman album (which my darling little brothers destroyed utterly) back around 1967. It was filled with cool Bat-tracks like "The Batmobile," "The Batcave," and "Robin, the Boy Wonder." I wonder if there's any chance of seeing these posted one day?

  • @terentii Love to hear those. Come on, someone must have them!

  • @Sids60sSounds A friend of mine managed to find the record at a garage sale for $3 this summer, and got it for me as a gift, as I'm a huge Batman fan. Sadly though, I don't have a way to get the audio from the vinyl onto my PC. Rest assured though, if/when I have the means to do so, I'm posting the whole thing

  • @cipher619 Good call!. I use Magix Audio Cleaning package to transfer vinyl to PC. Plus a deck of course.

Please don't make us wait another 9 nine months! lol

  • @Sids60sSounds I'll try not to! I have to find a deck first! I was only able to listen to it because a friend of mine found a deck for $40 in a pawn shop. I do not own one myself, and finding one here in South Korea could be a pain. I'll do my best though!

  • @19cassidy65 I don't remember Carol on that session but I'm glad that she does.. Her memory is probably 100 times better than mine. However I could never forget the great musicians that I worked with including Tommy and Hal on many, many sessions including Outer Limits and Let's Go, both big hits for us.. I have so many of my songs that popped up on Youtube that I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't even remember writing, let alone producing them including Big Man by Barbara Jackson.

  • @michaelzstuff Actually this is Carol Kaye on bass, Tommy Tedesco on guitar, and Hal Blaine on drums. Carol is a legendary bass player and played on many of the Beach Boys tracks as well. Carol states that she was called to do this session at 4 AM the day the TV show premiered and demo tapes were brought to radio stations and it was on air later that morning.

  • Nice 1 great tunes for the Batmobile :) . x

  • I just came!

  • @Sids60sSounds

yes right now in my channel!!!;-)

  • @terentii

have a look on my channel!your wonder is real....

  • @zee729 This was the last song the Marketts recorded as the original group with Michael Z. Gordon, Randy Viers, Lynn Frazier, Hal Bleich and Scott Engel. The later songs were not the original Marketts and called themselves the New Marketts but they were just a bunch of studio musicians. Many of the original group also played as The Routers. The Marketts biggest hit was Out Of Limits which was composed by the leader, Mike Gordon. Gordon also wrote Surfer's Stomp, their first big hit.
