Intended as my personal intro ('hem) on of another piece of useless shite I was working on, but I couldn't be arsed finishing that just now. :)

Fantastic! But is this meant to be a laconic comment upon YTV's general output? (I'm not from the transmission area and don't live there, so pretty much all I see of theirs is Countdown.)

Nah, it's just me parodying something I remember from when I was a kid. Nothing more than that :)

It was meant as a throwaway gag I was going to slap on the front of some stuff I uploaded.

As for YTV, I was under the impression that it had been swallowed up into the faceless ITV behemoth. Personally, I live in the STV (ex. Grampian) area, but that's pretty faceless too.

I never watch ITV much these days anyway. :/

Music is actually just the original recording of the jingle from that version of the ident.

However, it was messed about with in a sample editor. (Mixed with copies of itself raised one and two semitones respectively; the resulting combination of notes is intentionally out of harmony :)

The best ITV regions were Granada, Thames, Anglia, LWT and Central. Living in the Granada region we didn't get jingles until 1989 that i know of, being born in the early 80s. We had in-vision continuity until late 90s,and the continuity announcers were warm and friendly,the great Charles Foster, Beverley Ashworth and Colin Weston who used to crack a joke. Speaking of jokes that's what ITV1 is now.
