while we are on the topic of game companies who don't utilize non human characters, in the star wars mmo by Bioware thats coming out, they said they are only gonna let us play as near humans.
or to quote them "only races you could imagine kissing Leia" or to make it even more retarded, only basic speaking species.
yeah, retarded i know.

This isn't a bad game. I do wonder why your characters start at level 50 and why it just HAS to say "hit" all the time during your battle there, but overall, it's not a bad game for a first effort. I'm guessing RPG Maker doesn't let the characters run any faster? I do like the characters so far...sure, dialogue isn't the best, but when is it ever? LOL. I'm liking this so far and can't wait to see more =)

@blueeyedgirlie249 If I were to play in playtest mode, holding R2 would double the speed of your character, but it would also show the invisible events as question marks.

@blueeyedgirlie249 Don't worry. Drake is just a temporary character. He would really quite suck if you had to use him passed the first dungeon.

most RPGs have a human lead, i'd like to see a non human lead (though this is a criticism of RPGs in general, so that isn't actually a issue)
it would appear i can't think of anything to fix.

@ShadowWolfRising There are no non humans in the game or this world in general, but it would be nice to see some RPGs with some non human leads. If I had to guess, I'd say developers probably think it'll be easier to relate to human characters than non human characters. Then again, if Square Enix is any indication, whose idea of non human characters are playboy bunnies and cat girls, maybe that is for the best.

@Raizhen010
you apparently haven't seen some of the characters i have.
Operation Darkness had 2 werewolves, Persona 3 had a dog who used personas (i loved that dog), Shale (she was a golem) from Dragon Age (to be fair, thats a western RPG), Suikoden 1 and 2 had kobolds (i loved them, but non of the party member ones were any good, i actually want to see one as a main lead in a future Suikoden game).
its just that, why make a fantasy world with cool races and make the main character human?

@ShadowWolfRising Well, I've played Persona 3 and Koromaru kicks ass. I don't know why game companies tend to not utilize non human characters, but if you're looking for a JRPG with a some actual useful non human characters, I suggest you pick up Radiata Stories. It's like Suikoden in terms of character recruition, but there are humans and a bunch of non human characters to recruit.
