Crossing the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit, Mi to Winzor, On. on my way to London, On This is a private owned bridge that crosses the Detroit River and connects interstate 75 in Mi with Hwy 3 and Hwy 401 in On. When it was completed in 1929 it held the world record for longest suspended central span in the world at 1850 ft (564m) long with a total length of 7500 ft (2286m) It handles a greater volume of trade than any other border crossing in north america with more than 25 percent of U.S. Canadian imports/exports rolling over it. There is a Tim Hortons just a lil ways over the bridge where ya can stop to get a cup of the best coffee in the world, if the traffic isnt too bad and the O.P.P. doesn't get ya for parking on the shoulder. Oh yeah, i still need to figure out a way to mount my cammera so it dont bounce all over

  • Thanks, i would cross that bridge every day and not complain a bit. Ill bet that Hwy 3 was fun with out a clutch

  • I like the Blue water bridge at night. You should try a mini tripod you can get them at Wal Mart for about $8. or a good full size tripod beside you. Good video

  • @seansuth

Wow's that's pretty at night with all the lights---I've only driven across the bridge once or twice myself in the day time.

  • That's Windsor, Ontario at the other ends....I wonder if there is a casino there near the bridge?

  • Thought I'd come by and revisit some oldies

  • Great video! I've driven over that bridge so many times I can't count that high! Once crossing over my clutch went out on me; luckily I was on the down side and could roll it into gear. Interesting information on the bridge, truck sounded good too.
