Loved BNL since I first heard them on a late night talk show in the early 90's. When I went to the record store to find the single they didn't know who the hell I was talkin' 'bout. Lucky enough to see them play at a small venue in Houston ('95?) and the band was dining in the same restaurant next door where we were having drinks before the show. We met them on the way out. Got autographs, fawned, asked about mac & cheese throwing (they didn't mind if it was thrown low, no box!)

I took a music class in university and everyone in that class hated the Barenaked Ladies. Needless to say, I'm no longer friends with any of those people! I love this band.

This is a BNL video. It would stand to reason that the majority of people watching this video are BNL fans. Just for an experiment, go to a Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones video and leave a comment about how over-rated they are.

I suspect you will see much more leaping than you've witnessed here.

good music is not measured by how technical your guitar/chello/drum etc skills or how many octaves you can sing in... a few simple chords and a beat can make a melody that is just as pleasing as a complex song with intricate picking/strumming/drum beat. by your standards brian wilsons music is garbage compared to johan bach who could compose symphonies and play pretty well every instrument in the orchestra
