If you're judging on the basis of a cover song then this one is way better than Evans Blue's version, which didn't relate to the original other than the words. If you throw that out the window completely and forget about Sarah then I'd probably still go with SES. It just seems to have more power to it, wish there was a real video.

I had the privilege of seeing this live. I heard the guitar start and I was like "HOLY SHIT, that's a sarah mclachlan song!" Its slightly different than the version I heard though :(

... Not impressed. Feels like it's missing the point. I must second the suggestion of listening to the Evans Blue cover. I actually enjoyed that so much I'm using it in conjunction with Sarah's original for a project. They seem very companionable.
This ... does not. Sorry! I know this song inside and out. Not feeling this cover.

omg this is HORRIBLE!! Almost made my ears bleed. i don't know who the fuck these ppl are, and I'm sure thats for good reason, but they need to stick to their day jobs! They suck!!!

Great cover by a great band. All of you people realize that is a COVER. They made it their OWN version by screaming and giving it their own touch.

the guitar in the Evans Blue cover isn't as good as the guitar part in the smile empty soul cover though

Good.. But doesn't sound as good as their other stuff.. Is this cd out in stores? If so ima buy it this week.

it was available through a link I provided in the description. But it might not be there anymore, it was only out online and is a 4 try EP of smile empty soul's B-Sides. But they do have a new album due out in the near future
