The National Republican Congressional Committee funded this attack ad against 3rd District Pennsylvania Democratic contender, Kathy Dahlkemper - http://kathydahlkemperforcongress.com/

They think she is asking Americans to sacrifice too much by walking and biking more. They call her out for opposing the GOP red herrings of gas tax reduction and offshore drilling.

Informed voters know that neither domestic drilling nor gas tax reduction will have an impact on gas prices or American dependency on foreign dictatorships.

Oil companies are already making record profits and they will be happy to sit on domestic oil reserves until they need them (as they are currently doing). They will also be happy to take the extra profit a reduction in gas taxes would bring.

Obviously Dan has never been in northwestern PA from November through April. Dog sleds would work better than car through most of January, thats not a bad idea.

I personally try to avoid walking outside at any expense from November through April. Trying to survive in Kathy Dahlkempers district while she spends more money exceding the wasteful spending she attacked Phil English for in 2008, I did walk outside a little last winter.

@jlmacp1987 Yep, never been to Nw PA and didn't realize there was snow on the ground 6 months of the year. Guess folks could cross county ski and it that still leaves 1/2 the year for riding bikes. Best part, folks might actually fitter, happier and have more $ in their pockets.

The oil companies and their congressional cronies don't want more off shore fields so they can produce more oil for American motorists. They want the leases that give them access to those fields indefinitely. It's great for their ledger and increases the value of their companies. They will not drill, though, until it's profitable and they will certainly sell to the highest bidder. Exxon could give a fuck about the American Motorist as long as they are maximizing profit.

No we do not need more like Dahlkemper. She supported the Stupak Amendment and its "conscience clause" on refusing service and treatment. Please, somene run a woman who is not anti-woman against her....
