We were told about this old antique stationary engine, when some people bought the land in Buna Texas. They only wanted the scrap weight for it. It actually weighs 1,400 pounds, but we gave them 100 dollars..
We thought at first it was an old natural gas operated oil field engine, and it was a Fairbanks- Morse engine, but we were wrong on all counts..
After a lot of research, we found it to be a C-46 Arrow engine, with a rare gasoline operated stationary engine, with a carb., and a factory fuel pump.. I don't think with the wood skids, and the gasoline operation, it was ever intended to run an oil field pumper jack..
We will get it running and show it on YouTube, should be interesting.

  • love your engine brother; wish i can find one in good shape lefted in somebodys field or farm!

  • I have issues with the video cameras always picking up stupid noises like the ones caused from just handling the camera. All the stupid plastic clicking and cracking noises. Other than that, GREAT ENGINE!

  • Good day

That engine may have been used for field irrigation, or on a generator set, or sawmill.

    Amazing condition!

Up here something that old sitting in a bush would look as if it were dredged from a lake, & impossible to restore.

I expected to see green corrosion on the bearings, but no..amazing perfect environment down there eh!

  • Damn lucky find....to scrap it, indded, anything like this, would have been a crime!

  • OMG you have an UTB tractor. That is LONG for USA. I am proud to se my romanian tractor in the USA. Restore it. It is a verry good one, i know because i worked in the UTB tractor factory witch UE government decided to destroy it in 2007 . God bless you. Greetings from Romania

  • In 1997 A freind & I droove through Oklahoma and I stopped along the side of the road and took a video of a C-46 on a oil well chugging away. There was a Fairbanks Morse ZC 346 chugging away on another pump near the C-46. Both pump jacks were about 15 feet tall, and the name on the jacks was "Big M"

  • the wood fits the cart perfect and the cart is the same brand so it may be on the origenal wood that is sized to fit the cart you got

that would be rare to have the cart the it is ment to be on

  • That's a big one. It would be great to get it going again. Great tractor video too. Thank You for saving an important part of our history.

  • Need a mag for that thing? I got 4 of them, rebuilt and ready to go.
