小競り合いしつつ並んで食事するムクドリ Starlings Skirmish Side By Side

この二羽はつがい（カップル）なのでしょうか？　体色で性別判定できると図鑑に書いてますが（♂は黒っぽく♀は褐色系）よく分かりませんでした。
枝に串刺しされた林檎は突付いてる間にぐるんと回って食べにくいので、ムクドリは脚でしっかり押さえることを覚えました。この給餌場に一番通い詰めてるヒヨドリ（映像の途­中で物欲し気な姿を一瞬だけ見せます）もこんな工夫をしたことないので目を引きました。
Starring two white-cheeked starlings (Sturnus cineraceus). Mid-February, 2007 in Japan. They gripped the apple while pecking to keep it from rotating around the twig. This humble bird-feeder was first-come, first-served. I had no idea if there was the so-called pecking order between the two.
