You can use an iPhone to control keynotes on the iPad using the keynote remote app.

Can the iPad 2 mirror everything? All apps?
-
@salman6896 The VGA adapter only allows mirroring on iPad 2. iPad 1 will only work for certain applications.

around 1:40 you said ipod, not ipad

Is it possible to use this in reverse? I would like to use the iPad as a small VGA display.

@miamigroove No, you can only output.

I have a question, I have an iPad 1 with the VGA adapter for the iPad. I need to give a presentation in a week or so. The TV always says NO DEVICE INPUT meaning its not detecting it however when I hook up my laptop it detects it right away.
Any ideas?

@themacbookone The iPad only outputs video over VGA when you've launched a compatible app, like Keynote.
