"This...is Scotland."
"Oh, thank god! I forgot where I was at the moment."

I don't know whether you noticed, but the original Grampian ident used "Scotland The Brave" (as you stated), but counterpointed with "Crimond" ("The Lord's My Shepherd")
Two traditional Scottish melodies for the price of one...

"This is Scotland!" XD

There are actually three ITV regions in Scotland if you count the part served by Border.

You say there used to be two ITV Regions in Scotland but now there are only one. It could also be pointed out that there used to be 13 (?) ITV regions in England but there are now only one.

But here's an odd thing. Both the quadrant slide with Jimmy Nairn's voiceover (re-edited in this very studio where I now sit) and the tartan prototype came from my personal collection. Only copies extant. So - and I think you can all see where I'm going here - who did you nick this material from, Frank? And why?

@RadioSix Is it really? That's interesting, because it came from TV Ark. As mentioned in the credits. Thanks for donating material to those guys.

Wrong. The 'dizzying logo' didn't appear until 1965. The first logo was an almost full frame lion rampant with the words Scottish Television top and bottom. The second was the four blocks with the letters STV and the lion. You got the stuff about colour all wrong, too. When colour began the lion continued to zoom but in pale blue. Then came the zooming letters STV with the audio that you've somehow added to the tartan symbol, which was a unused prototype.

@RadioSix There are gaps in my research. I admit it. Just one man here. I appreciate the clarification.

Children's ITV.
You just HAVE to do that one, Applemask!

Wouldn't be an ITV in the Face, though. I'd have to do Children's BBC alongside.
