i think my friends dad died of an amitriptyline overdose, and acute alcohol intoxication. Apparantly its a common method of suicide

i got dependant on it. i cant sleep without it. other than that it does work yes.

i have been persribed amitriptyline 10mg at night and 10mg in the morning, i have been perscribed amitriptyline, dihydrocodeine,celebrex and paracetamol to take is it normal for amitriptyline to make you sleepy cos when i wake up and take my amitriptyline 10 mg and dihydrocodeine 30mg i go to sleep for like 6 hrs. please reply

i was placed on this about a year and a half ago in place of trazadone. my dr. started me at 10mgs at bedtime for sleep and headaches. im also rx'd valium for anxiety (10mgs 2 x a day) and when i request more or have more anxiety than usual,my doc's solution was to raise,raise and keep raising the amitryptiline. in under a year it has been upped from 10mgs to 90mgs and there is NO WAY i can take that much. if you wanna fall into a coma-like sleep for 12 hrs and feel like shit the next day its 4u

i started on 10 mg at night im now on atleast 40 to 50 mg a day now :D puts my lights out :D

stuff is amazing for me. i am bipolar. i take this with a small dosage with lexapro.
