Dedicated to Chuck...cjthemusicman. You know what you did. Bob thought I should land the Eagle...I said, "Not Yet."--(smile) ---gotta see the Sun first. This song has special meaning to me...In 2008, I discovered that my great-grand parents were Cherokee...a family secret...it was one of the proudest days in my life---Grandfather and Grandmother....thank you.

  • @profwaldo Just read this. Hi wally. Interesting background !! Andy

  • @profwaldo Very interesting family history you have there! I didn't know until 2 years ago, that I was 1/4 Cherokee--it was a very well-kept family secret, that my Great Grand-Parents were full-blooded. I live about 15 miles from the Trail of Tears in southern Illinois, where they lived in a log cabin with 13 children. I did this song after discovering my family on the tribal rolls--it was second best day in my life. Thank you!

    Peace and Love,

    Yvonne

  • What a beautiful song and video, absolutely beautiful. I Love it !

My ancestor of French-Quebec descent, married a Potawatomie and eventually settled just 5miles from where I now live in SE Wisconsin but when the last of the Native Americans were forced out of the region he left with them, while expressing deep regret for his part as guide and translator in helping to settle this area for the white man.

Thank you Yvonne and Bob for sharing this with us. Peace & Love to you. :-) -waldo

  • @carlguage Thank you Cool Carl .....I love that song. Happy Spring Carl.

    Yvonne
