  • In my own personal opinion, the Carvin and MusicMan sounded much deeper and warmer than the PRS, with the Carvin being my favorite of all three. don't get me wrong, I love PRS tone and sound, but it seemed a little twangy and not as deep in this video. Just an observation.

  • @shipleyshipster

i agree with you but still

we should not underestimate the PRS, they are great guitars,

the PRS guitars only miss the piezo pickups to get that acoustic sound.

  • I'd have to say the Carvin really. I love Custom 24's but I prefer Piezos in my guitars. Love that electric playability, but that acoustic sound.

  • all of them have unique tones .. cant judge which is better

  • Honestly, it's a tie between the Petrucci and the Carvin. Both AMAZING guitars. I really like the Petrucci you have.

  • since the prs doesnt have a piezo, wouldnt it have been fairer to compare the humbuckers of all the guitars? this comparison is very biased against the prs since ur doing clean sounds only and using piezo pickups which are going to have that great clean sound - to make it fair u should have at least demoed the humbuckers of the other guitars or demoed with some different tones. overall a very biased and narrow demo - doesnt really show off what any of the guitars can do (more of a piezo demo)

  • Carvin is the best !!! jp6 comes after that according to this vid. but jp6 piezo can be equalized a little better to get more warmer tone!

  • @maherhanna Agreed, many factors come into play. These guitars are made of different woods, pickups, etc. As well as the style of music played. PRS is an amazing guitar maker. There are other things about the video I could list, such as I could hear the pick hitting the strings on the Carvin in the second clip, but not on the PRS. Things like that. Everything comes into play.

  • They all sound good. But the Carvin is way cheaper.

  • Honest to god the carvin sounds much better!
